Two great covers on YouTube

James Last covering Hawkwind’s “Silver Machine”

A 16-year-old girl covering My Bloody Valentine’s “Soon” (all of it!)

Adoby

Complaining about spelling on the Internet is a losing battle, but sometimes when you see a “Kick Me!” sign, you just have to…

…from the Adobe Story confirmation email. You would think that someone at Adobe would be able to spell the name of their own company correctly.

Vultures need UFO love too

google_saucer.gif

While the world debates as to why Google has a saucer logo today, let’s not forget that today is International Vulture Awareness Day.

(really only posted because I believe that vultures and UFOs are cool, and that both pictures are cute)

It’s a scheme all right

A medium-level meme making the rounds is to take your name or a search term and plug it into the Instant Color Schemes search engine. The site takes five related images from Yahoo and then the six most prominent colors from each image.

Proven by science!

Frank Lloyd Lego

I like the Lego Fallingwater and Guggenheim a lot, but the real question is whether or not the set comes with a disapproving and irate Frank Lloyd Lego Man who dares you to use a different color Lego brick.

Election

Well here we go. Election plans here at Casa Drone include comfort food and copious amounts of champagne. Regardless of what happens, we’ll be ready. Eater LA has a list of election specials going on around town.

And hey, let’s be careful out there.
