My wife started on acoustic, and she plays more correctly than I do, despite her relative inexperience. Shows something, I guess. marc My advice: Start with acoustic. Work your way into electric from there. If you can master the tonal subtleties of the acoustic, you'll be ready to rock out on the electric.
