The sound was a lot better which was no surprise as night 2 always seems a lot better! What was Leeds like? I overheard someone say that it wasn't grest. By the way there were 2 cameras recording the show from the side. Anyone know why....??? I've got to disagree with the Underworld being a "Great venue". I think its awful. Great big pillars in the middle of the floor! But it didn't detract from night 2. Particular highlights for me were Nightfriends, MATS, Constant... oooh loads more. BTW I was commenting after the show on how reat I think it is that they played 6 songs off the new album and a load of newer stuff in general. But I went with a load of mates on Friday who only knew earlier stuff and were disappointed by the same fact! It reminded me that I (and probably most of you guys too) am not an average fan. Whereas I'm probably far too into what the band are doing (obsessed??? nah...! err... anyway...) the average punter has probably got a couple of albums and wants to hear the early stuff. I know if I went to (for an off the top of the head example) an Echo and the Bunnymen gig I'd go home disappointed if they played loads of new ones and missed out the *classics*. I know for a fact the The Church could blow the roof off a joint if they stuck to the classics! It just showed by the reaction to Electric Lash, Constant In Opal, Myrrh et al. I was also really pleased to hear that Numbers got a great reception. Comedown could also fit in the classics set. So I don't know what they can do about it but in a way I'd love to see a gratest hits set and then a seperate gig for the overly keen like myself! But then again.... (oh God I'm rambling!). Anyway, great to see a selection of goodies to purchase at the gigs - loads of t-shirts, CDs, fanzines, signed posters, etc! I snagged a copy of TYGs finally and am listening to it now - sounds great! Oh and I reckon the keyboards added loads to the overall sound. Great stuff. But where was everyone? Maybe next time, huh? Doug (who's overdosed on the word Great and uses too many dots! And who got totally dragged down by Spurs in yesterdays cup final. It was meant to be such a great (...) weekend!)
