It's been lovely and warm in Los Angeles of late (the 90's on Friday) and after a movie and lunch we drove around blasting HEYDAY and singing at the top of our happy little lungs. I hadn't listened to Heyday in so long....I was thinking about how even though I adore Heyday and it's always been THE Church album for me, it's so obvious how much the band, and especially Steve, have matured and changed over the years, musically. Hey it's a good thing as that wacky Martha Stewart might say. After it got dark we drove home to AENT which I agree is not the best driving album. In fact, many a morning on the way to work I find myself getting a little comatose and a little too relaxed listening to it so I have to put something else in. The CD should come with the disclaimer: "Do not listen to while driving long distances. Do not attempt to operate heavy machinery whilst playing these songs. Consult your physician if you feel especially groggy or have the insane desire for a joint and know absolutely no one that can score you some pot."
