In my opinion a review should be episodic, like a Dickinson novel, so
that any one can enter at any "chapter" of a the musician's career and
be able to immediately be on top of the story and yet derive benefit
from the newest plot and characterizations.  "Return to form" implies
that I know the back story and know enough to fill in the blanks.  Not a
wise move if you want to grow your readership.
