OK, I finally got a copy of AENT from my fiance for Valentines Day. (What a
gal, eh?!) After spending the weekend with the album, I find I'm really
enjoying it. Actually, I'm really enjoying Seen It Coming and Invisible.
One day I hope to make it past those two tracks and explore more of the
album. We'll see...

Anyway, has anyone else noticed the similarity between Invisible and Yo La
Tengo's 'Big Day Coming' (the long version) off the Painful album? It's
probably just me, but I find those songs to be kindred spirits in tone,
feel, and pacing. Somehow they both evoke a very melancholy, wistful feel
and are quite amazing songs in their own way. If I were to make a top 20 CD
of melancholy tunes, both those songs would have to be contenders. The
percieved similarity hit me the other day and I just had to ask if anyone
else may have noticed it...
