Hey I was at the Vines show on Friday (sucked in by the hype)....  and left 
suitably unimpressed .  And kicking myself for not going to Dallas Crane 
instead.  Luckily Peabody were in the same venue the following night to 
restore my faith in "the rock" !

For aussie live music value these days  I thoroughly recommend both Dallas 
Crane (Melbourne) and Peabody (Sydney)..... not that thay have anything to 
do with the Church.............

Okay.......

For those on Willson-Piper watch, he went record shopping on the weekend 
and
purchased a 7" by the Vines (hip new Sydney three piece who need to come
back when they've written some more songs - if you were at Fridays show) 
and
the new Concrete Blonde album. I hope this is not the musical equivalent of 
trawling through someone's trash..... Is it?
