I was listening to Numbers last night right before I passed out, and it 
seemed to me that in some fashion the tune has something to do war..

1 for the officers, 1 for the gentlemen ("An Officer and a Gentleman")
2 for the panzer crews  (panzer tanks (duh!)
1 for the fading sun (Japan, land of the rising sun, lost the war)
The slip between the cup and lips (loose lips sink ships)
Vast and molten sky  (ever see the vid of a nuclear blast and flaming 
mushroom cloud?)
4 for the failed talks
3 for the models and stars (USO shows)
Lots of death references...

There were others, but I'll have to listen again, as I've lost them for the 
moment. Or maybe I'm just baked :-)
