It's not an import cd; I don't really think that it's unreasonable to expect your local cd store to carry it once it's been released. I went to three stores last night in search of it, and my search yielded no bounty. I don't exactly live in the sticks, either. I'm not the only one who's had problems locating this album in stores. And if dedicated followers of The Church are having a problem getting it, what about the casual listener flipping through the racks who presumably wouldn't even know about the new album any other way? I'm not sure exactly what Thirsty Ear is doing to distribute this album, but it's terribly frustrating that an album that so many fans seem to think is the band's strongest release since Starfish and that is getting attention from reviewers might die in the water because a pissy little record company isn't doing what it should. I wound up ordering the album off Amazon. I would have preferred to buy it from a store. Hypothetically, if this album had been released by Arista, would people still be having problems finding it in stores?
