From: Carl and Racinda Chave, crchave@crchave.screaming.net Subject: AENT Take 2 Date: 2/9/2002 4:20:27 PM To: seance, seance@lists.no-fi.com I originally described AENT as "Lethargic", I was really sick when I first got it and should have waited to listen until I felt better. I really like the album, but it's not, to me, a good driving album - and the car is the place I get to listen the most. Numbers works in the car though. Numbers - Good tune. You can sing to this one and that's what I like, you know like P=A "she's a human sacrifice to the goddess of ice" you can really belt that out while shifting and overtaking. After Everything - it's OK. Not my favorite. To me SK has at least 2 different tones or ways of singing when he sings a song. This one is sung in my least fave SK way. I can't really explain it. The Awful Ache - One of the better tracks - I like it that trees can be sad and old. Song for the Asking - I can take or leave this one. Lyrics are pretty uninspiring, usually gets the skip button. Chromium - My wife likes this one. Wants to get some AAE now. UGGHH, like I said before, Marty should stick to the guitar. Radiance - One of my favorites, the music especially. Night Friends - Cool bass line. One of the better tracks. Seen it Coming - I really like this one - I really dig SK's voice, very relaxed, and I really look forward to the heavily plucked echo-y guitar bit. Invisible - My favorite track. I don't find it too long at all, great closer. Though the repeating guitar string scratch reminds of a cartoon characters little snickery laugh, I can picture the cartoon but can't think of the name. Looking forward to the Unerworld show on the 22nd - Anyone else gonna be there? Nige- sorry about the 23RD!!! Carl
