They that know me can debate that first statement ... BUT ... all
seriousness ... a well placed middle eight can be the utmost of
deciding factors in a well constructed song ...structure is key in
songwriting ... the song can be hummin' along up thru the
verse/chorus/verses and over the bridge ... then ... BAM ... the
dreaded middle eight springs forth with the final minute left on the
counter ... tempo shifts or something and that entire three minutes or
so that had you just boppin' right along goes straight down the dumper!
 But that's just my opinion.
