Another truly great album that's similarly affected is The Triffids 'Born Sandy Devotional'. I find that, if I've not listened to either album for a long while, the first listen is always a bit of a shock and they both do sound somewhat dated nowadays. Could be worse; BC could sound like Seance! Still 2 of my fave albums of all time though. Can't wait to hear the promised BC remaster. (and Born Sandy if anyone at Island is listening!)
