Anyone else familiar with that song? "Someone and someone were down by the pond, looking for something to plant in the lawn" or something. I'll confess, I've only heard the Henry Kaiser/ Victoria Williams version on The Bridge:A Tribute to Neil Young. She does the freakiest vocals. Anyway--Brian H. That's what I thought. "Words" from Neil Young's Harvest album. I've had AENT since Monday, and did not want to make a hasty review, because I have been battling the flu, and I was not able to concentrate while listening. Some comments from other members strike a note with me. Mark P rates BC as a 5/5 and represents to him his Church. I like this idea that only one album can be a 5. For me then, P=A is my Church. Like Mark, I don't expect them to explore my Church again. I think AENT is the Church's most realized album since P=A. Beautiful unhurried songs. I expected to hate Chromium, but I agree with whoever wrote that this song fits into the feel of the album rather than standing out from the work. Right now Invisible is my favorite, especially the string scratching and the Swedish train passing through. I think Kate said that this is a winter album. I'd have to agree with her. I also have reservations regarding the tour. How will these songs come across in a live setting? The production is top notch. A new single, a new PK CD, and a new Tyg CD, if you please.
