From: Nick Peters, Nick.Peters@Capitalinteractive.co.uk Subject: RE: Question for less than impressed Seance reviewers.. Date: 2/8/2002 3:25:40 AM To: seance@lists.no-fi.com I totally agree. If people feel undermined by a little criticism, they can't be that sure of their own opinions in the first place. Having said that, I am surprised that some people have found the album production not up to par. By no means do I have a great sound system but I have found AENT much more crisp than HOB and BOB. Songwise, yeah, I would have liked to have had a couple of real rock out tracks on there, but the absence of a 'Life Speeds Up' or a 'Tantalized' doesn't make the album any less essential to me. For me, this is the band's best album since P=A and before that Starfish. I'm not annoyed that some fans don't share my enthusiasm for AENT, but I do feel disappointed for them as I know what it's like to wait so long for something like this and then to feel let down. I remember the stick one Seancer got over his disappointment with HOB (was it Alister?) I don't think we need a repeat of that. -----Original Message----- From: Sue C [mailto:kascam@bigpond.com] Sent: 08 February 2002 10:53 To: Hans Beckers; seance@lists.no-fi.com Subject: Re: Question for less than impressed Seance reviewers.. Well I am really glad that people can give their honest opinions! God help us if we all agreed - I couldn't stand it if we all gushed over every single song they put out, though I know Im definitely guilty sometimes of over-enthusiasm.
