Maybe the people making these kinds of remarks have a crappy stereo or something or just haven't listened to it enough times. The first few times I heard it a lot of the tracks seemed like a pretty big mess production-wise, but now I'm starting to hear all the little treasures Tim hid in some of the songs. And it really works...it's like the best elements of the Church as well as people like My Bloody Valentine and Radiohead. In addition, I don't think you can even compare this album to the older stuff like BC. In my opinion The Church seem to have given up that old classic rock/psychedelic sound altogether, although that's not at all a bad thing. It's obvious to me, anyway, that they have really settled into a new sound and probably won't be making any more albums that sound like Starfish. >How can you listen to these collection of songs and not find them >amazing? >No >offense, I just't don't understand how one seancer gave the album a 2 >out >of >5 because of muddy mix? Excessive radiotronics? Slow Tempo? Did you >listen >to >it in a rushed manner? Give it a re-listen. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp.
