This is a really good record the best with Powels, but I think It could have been up there with The Blurred Crusade, Seance, Heyday and P=A if the production hadn't been so "crowded" and blurred, I which they have had the help of someone like Bob Clearmountain. The songs of this album really deserves a more "professional" treatment. Especially the vocal sound lacks clearity in my opinion. I think all of the songs form a good coherent record, even the "chromium" fits in with the rest of the songs, which Marty songs not always do I think. What hurts me the most is the mix of "seen it coming" I really adorred the preview version especially the "lead" guitar, Peter ?, which sounded to me like an echo from earlier songs like "you took", unfortionatly it's totally lost in the mix as are the vocals. But overall I'm very pleased with this record, it's nice that my favourite band since more than 20 years can come up with something like this after all this years. Coherent and focused. Looking forward to here the songs live. Par
