It sure happened at the Palladium in Hollywood! My friend Heather and I got there kind of late, and we must have missed the whole Peter Murphy show, because we walked into the Palladium and it seemed like EVERYONE was leaving. Mass exodus! We TOTALLY thought "Oh my god, did we miss the Church? Did they somehow play first and we got it backwards?" We actually ASKED someone if we missed The Church. That guy must have thought we were nuts! It was great though because we got to stand RIGHT UP FRONT on Peter's side and had a lovely view of the whole evening. BTW I got my copy of AENT from Whammo last Saturday. I've been listening to it a LOT. I'll have to share my wonderful insights later...suffice it to say I really like it, although I do wish Steve would refrain from making druggy-voiced comments like "Hey man" and "Allll right." It just makes me cringe! The Awful Ache is indeed unbelievably beautiful. I am really looking forward to seeing them in April, which is odd, because for a while there I didn't really care at all.
