Hello!

I know this band has been mentioned on this list recently but I wanted to add 
my 2
cents....

The cd by Spearmint which is called "A Different Lifetime" is really 
brilliant.  They remind me of The Trembling Blue Stars/The Field Mice meet 
The Lightning Seeds/Lilac Time....and most of the bands that were on the 
Sarah label.

Another great new-ish cd is "Oh Inverted World" by The Shins.  They kind of 
remind me of Zumpano (for those of you who know who they are - really 
melodic, almost Zombies-ish)and the masterpiece by Cardinal (Eric 
Matthews/Richard Davies).

I'm a little late in singing my praises....but "Properties Of Sound" by The 
Nines is
soooooooo great.  Think XTC at their most melodic.
