Granted, playing the Super Bowl halftime show is about as corporate and commercial as you can get. But I think for a band of their stature, they pulled it off with power and grace. It's easy to slam the big guys, but I think for most of the people here who have ever seen that band in a room, they know that it's about as close as you can get to a transcendant experience. They did it well -- and if you want a comparison, just think about that frigging Britney/Aerosmith/N*Sync cluster-fuck of a halftime show last year. That, friends, was corporate.
