I didn't know about the watch. I love details like that. The blurred action in the background is a roadie going after a guy who jumped on stage. The type design at first seemed odd for a band like the Clash, but when a friend showed me the Elvis cover it all made sense. I think the last studio release by Green Day has the same layout too. The best cover art homage (especially now) is of all things Supertramp's "Breakfast In America". The cover shows the view from a jet window. The waitress is The Statue of Liberty, the place settings make up the New York Skyline and docks. Pretty darn clever. As far as great gigs go, here's a great moment from the Clash in Boston. My friends and I scaled a fire escpae and my friend George got into the dressing room and started a conversation with the band. After a few minutes he asked Joe Strummer if a some of the group could come in too. Joe said "Hell, let them all in" And with that Joe helped each of us in and handed us all beers. Awlright!
