Date: 2/1/2002 2:04:47 PM To: 'Crusader', divinedjinn@yahoo.com I may be wrong but it is my understanding that records in the US are almost always released on Tuesdays. Most record stores receive their shipments on Tuesdays but some also receive shipments on Thursday. If your local store does not receive it by either Tuesday the 5th or Thursday the 7th then they are most likely not going to carry the new release unless it either turns into a big hit or local requests are able to get the buyer to add the release to their purchase schedule. The industry seems to be pretty consistant about this. Every Tuesday morning you can meet the shipments at the door in most stores. Hello everyone, The official release date for most stores in the US is Feb. 5 (4 more days). I know Tower Records should have it then, they claimed it will arrive on that date. Of course, I live in NYC so I don't know if it the same everywhere but I don't imagine why not. Right now, like I did, the best places to get it early are momma & pappa shops. I picked my copy up a week ago at Norman's Sound and Vision in Manhattan (St. Marks Place to be exact) for approximately $13.99 + tax. That is my advice to those looking for an early copy in the US, but it's not long now til the release anyhow. -Regards, Blurry Crusader __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
