Not that Ed asked to be defended, but I will go on record to say that Ed is
indeed a good trader. Yes, there are times that "real life" slows him down,
but he's always been more than generous with me, including sending me things
without wanting anything in return.

Kudos to Ed for stepping forward, but I, for one, don't doubt his integrity.
His time-management skills, maybe, but not his integrity. :) Just kidding
Ed.

I will step forward and reveal that I am the culprit to which a fellow
seancer has had the unfortunate experience to deal with me in a bad time,
be
it unexpected for me as well as him.

I can safely say that I am a very honest and good trader, and no, you will
not get burned. I can have other list members vouch for me and my trading
since I have been doing here for several years. Currently, you caught in a
bad time where I no longer have time to dabble in my hobbie of CD trading
due
to having a child, getting laid off from my previous job, mother-in-law
getting ill and getting a new job that entails most of my time, including
weekends. Not to mention my wife wants to move out of our current home,
because we live with her mom and she wants to buy another house. Then I
have
friends asking me to do work for them and build them computers and also
I'm
doing my business on the side, which entails audio work.
I have tried my best to finish up the work for you. Then only item that
requires completion is the artwork for "Remindlessness" with the bonus
tracks.

Like I said, I have many vetern seancers vouch for my reputation, and I
can
truly understand why the Church have delayed their next album, because
they
are busy and have other things in their lives going on.

Apology up front, js, for taking this piece out of context from an old
post
on "church news from the gut"!

APOLOGIES TO ALL if you feel this message is not suitable for the
audience
    at
    large!

I saved this post because I can relate to it right now with a trade
    situation
I am in at the moment with another Seancer. I have been a member of the
    list
    for less than a year,
but can say without hesitation that the information and help I have
    received
    has been
more than I ever expected! As far as trading, I have done about 5
transactions with fellow Seancers that have gone extremely well. I have
myself and others in these trades have sent additional items not in the
original deals just because we desire to spread the wealth and maybe
build
    a
sense of fellowship(without sounding to hokey!)!

I have one unfortunate trade situation that has dragged out for about 6
months now. I agreed to send a videotape to THIS PERSON for a burned cd
of
Sing-Songs which THIS PERSON later agreed to add some b-sides too. I
sent
    my
item in the post the very next day. All I have gotten from THIS PERSON
are
excuses and promises that his item is coming soon! There is no real cost
issue here for the $ amounts are minimal. I am more concerned about the
integrity issue involved. I know it sounds cliche, but a DEAL is a DEAL
in
    my
book even though I could get a burned CD
from another source fairly easy (and yes, I do hope to get a CD burner
    myself
    one day too!)

Anyway, not to drag out the messy details more than I have, I was just
    wondering:

    1. What any of you thought about this? Any advice?
    2. Is this a serious breach of list etiquette to bring up such a topic?
    3. Should THIS PERSON's identity be revealed to the list to protect
future
    traders?
