Re: Porcupine Tree... I recently bought Lightbulb Sun and just can't get
into it. "Stranger by the Minute" from Stupid Dream is what inspired me to
get the band's music in the *first* place. Granted, it may not be as as
solid as some of their other work, but it's a strong pop-oriented album. But
on the flip side, I think either "Signify" or "Yellow Hedgerow Dreamscape"
are the best by far for experiencing the more experimental side of Porcupine
Tree, dashes of Prog and Psychadelic.

On another note, allow me to highly recommend the band Labradford for a
different head-tweaking experience. I guess the best way to describe it
would be Psychadelic Ambient Trance. Ah, but don't let the words 'ambient'
or 'trance' fool you - I've heard plenty of ambient music that bores me to
tears, but these guys always keep it on the edge of fascinating. Close your
eyes and let the colors drift, no prescription necessary.
