From: Tim Prochnow, torkey@hotmail.com Subject: The Church in New York - Screeching Weasel Date: 10/31/2000 6:11 PM To: seance@lists.no-fi.com A note on the Shadow Cabinet should put a nasty rumor to rest. The Church (I assume all of them) will be in New York this month to put the finishing touches on their new album. Marty is taking the opportunity to play two shows (so far) one electric, one acoustic. Odd: The paragraph adds that The Church are recording their 20th album in as many years. I'm only coming up with 17 including both greatest hits packages. Am I wrong? Marty has an official site www.martywillsonpiper.com So far all he has listed is the two New York dates and the All About Eve dates next year. Gotta go, Tim Non Church. Screeching Weasel aka: The greatest thing to ever happen to punk-pop, played their first announced shows in seven years this weekend in Chicago. Goddamn that was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. Their new album, Teen Punks In Heat ranks among their best. Good things come to those who wait. I'm referring to fans of both bands. I'm almost glad that The Church waited eight years (90-98) to get back to us in the states. They did it with style on the HOB tour. SA or MATS wouldn't have been as special. _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
