To which I respond:

I'd have to agree. For my money, "Remote Luxury," has always been one of the most sonically interesting records that the Church has ever done. I know, I know, you can go on and on about the guitar interplay on "Priest=Aura," and the experimentation on "Sometime Anywhere," but that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I think that's because, of all the records, "Remote Luxury," combines beautiful songcraft with a willingess to experiment. The guitar interplay on tracks such as "Into My Hands," and "No Explanation," remains some of the stongest on all the records.

I also think that, of all the early records, Steve was at his most focused lyrically. Folks have already posted some of their favorite lyrics from that album, and I think that proves my point. The lyrics on "Remote Luxury," stick with you.

That's my 2p. Now back to our regularly scheduled program.

John.
